This dictionary boasts a collection of 11000 single-character entries, under which are to be found some 220000 multiple character entries, including 20000 idioms and phrases and 8000 new expressions which have emerged over the past decade. As many as 200000 technical terms are incorporated in these entries. Entries under each character are arranged according to the alphabetical order of Hanyu Pinyin. Four user-friendly indices are attached to this Dictionary, namely (1) Hanyu Pinyin Syllable Index, (2) Hanyu Pinyin Index, (3) Radical Index, and (4) Stroke Number Index
